Centre for Microfinance (CmF) www.cmfraj.org is a resource organisation working for strengthening the microfinance and livelihood sector in Rajasthan. Center is supported by Sir Ratan Tata Trust (SRTT) as part of its ‘Sakh Se Vikas’ initiative. It is actively engaged with banks, state government and voluntary organisations for capacity building, research, policy advocacy, idea incubation and promoting collaborations among stakeholders.

Centre for Microfinance is looking for young & dynamic professionals for the Mitigating Poverty in Western Rajasthan (MPOWER) project based at Jodhpur. MPOWER is a special poverty alleviation project of State Government which is financially supported by IFAD and SRTT. CmF is providing technical support to the project and is also the nodal agency to manage the SRTT’s grant to the project.
CmF has a team of professionals which work in close association with state project management unit in Jodhpur. We are looking for three project officers who are passionate to alleviate poverty, who are skilled and experienced to solve multi faceted problems that poor face and who are comfortable while working with government.


A. Programme Officer (Livelihoods) - 1

Job Profile:
The person will provide technical support to partner NGOs to design, implement and monitor the interventions for agriculture development; livestock based livelihoods of poor families covered under the project. S/he would also develop liaison with government departments, research organisations and others to leverage knowledge and financial resource. S/he will develop proposals for leveraging bank finance by SHGs.


B. Programme Officer (Peoples’ Institutions and Bank Linkage) - 1

Job Profile: The person will provide technical support to partner NGOs to design, implement and monitor the mobilisation of poor in their own institutions like Self Help Groups, SHG federations, Marketing Groups etc. and link them with formal financial institutions like banks. S/he will conduct orientation of bank managers, NGO staff and will have intensive follow up with bank branches to ensure timely delivery of credit to poor.


C. Programme Associate (MIS) - 1

Job Profile: The person will have to provide technical support to partner NGOs for rolling out of MIS Software in the project and implement, monitor and consolidate the MIS for the project. The candidate will also be expected to assess the capacity of partner agencies and provide capacity building inputs from time to time.


For two positions (A& B)
desired Profile of the Candidates: Appropriate candidate will be a post graduate in Agriculture/ Veterinary / Diary technology/ Social Work/Rural Development/ Rural Management and with at least 5 years of experience in microfinance & livelihood promotion at programme management level.
Candidate should have proven analytical, documentation and report writing skill along with excellent communication skills in Hindi and English; ability to speak, read and write fluently in both languages. S/he should be efficient in the use of internet & MS-Office application software

All the positions include intensive traveling in the project area.
