CmF offers financial and technical support to incubate and test
innovative and scaleable ideas that have the potential to increase the
outreach of microfinance services to the poor and marginalized. Idea
incubation at CmF focuses on innovative microfinance related products and
services for the poor, cost-effective delivery mechanisms, programmes to
reach out to the unreached sections of the society and other related
issues.

Certificate Course in microFinance Development and Management (mFDM)
To address the need for trained human resources to operate at the cutting
edge level of mF programmes in Rajasthan, CmF has introduced a 6 months
course on microFinance Development and Management from 2007-2008. The course
targets graduates unemployed youth and women. Organizations who are
presently working in the microFinance sector also propel their existing
staff to pursue the course to enhance their skill and understanding to
serve the sector in a better way.

Providing financial services to migrants
CmF is supporting the delivery of mF services to migrant communities in
Southern Rajasthan. Consequently, a Section 25 Company – Shram Saarathi
Association – has been set up for delivering microFinance services to
migrant labour in the region.
MITR (Urban MFI Initiative)
MITR is registered society operating in Alwar which was established in
2008 with the objective of providing microFinance to urban poor households
in Alwar. It provides credit through JLG model. Its product mix includes a
general loan product for current needs and a microenterprise development
loan for future. Majority of the loan has been utilized for improving
current livelihood set up. The MFI plans to expand its operations to
nearby areas of Alwar like SHahpura, Ajmer, Udaipur and Kota in coming
years.
