Education

Making education accessible, enjoyable, and meaningful

Poor learning levels in rural and government schools are a major challenge for policymakers and educators. This issue is even bigger in tribal areas, where many children drop out early to support their families. Teachers often lack proper training and support, which affects their motivation. CmF is working hard to improve school environments and teaching methods in government schools and Anganwadis, helping children enjoy learning and build strong foundational skills.

Strategy & Intervention Areas

1. Create Demonstration Sites – Model Schools and Anganwadis

  • Vibrant Spaces: Bright, fun, and engaging physical environments

  • Resources: Adding teaching aids and learning tools for kids and teachers

  • Kid-Friendly Management: Encouraging children to use and manage resources

2. Capacity Building for Teachers and Anganwadi Workers

  • Focus Areas: Early Childhood Education (ECE), Libraries, and Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN)

  • Training: Programs and short courses for teachers and support staff

  • On-Site Help: Support to improve teaching methods

3. Scaling Up Best Practices Through Partnerships

  • Government Support: Technical help at state and district levels

  • Workshops: Events for sharing ideas and learning

  • Policy Input: Contributing to education policies

4. Community Engagement for Better Education

  • School Committees: Training School Management Committees (SMCs) and holding regular meetings

  • Parent-Teacher Events: Fun school events to connect parents and teachers

  • Home Learning: Encouraging parents to support kids’ education at home

Journey So Far
